THE CRUTCHER FOUNDATION
What are we?
The Crutcher Foundation is a 501(c)(3) dedicated to improving the mental health of first responders through direct support and advocacy. We provide financial resources and raise awareness for those affected by PTSD and other mental health challenges. We partner with local unions, departments, and non-profit organizations to ensure that all donations benefit first responders directly.
The Crutcher Foundation operates without paying any staff or overhead expenses, ensuring that 100% of the donations go directly toward the cause.
Together, we are "Helping Heroes Heal."
Why do we exist?
Captain John "Kenny" Crutcher was a devoted Dallas Fire Captain, active duty soldier, and Fire Marshal for the city of Princeton TX. Tragically, on November 12th, 2021, Cpt. Crutcher took his own life, leaving behind his loving wife and daughter. As former Dallas Firefighters, Elijah Anthony and Jon Bryan were privileged to have known Cpt. Crutcher as both a mentor and a friend. Determined to make a change, they formed The Crutcher Foundation to honor his memory and support mental health for first responders.
